Join me on Zoom for another beginner breakdown!
Promoting full body strength and a fresh blood supply to the brain... supported headstand can create a sense of clarity and can alleviate sinus congestion, fatigue, and stress.
While supported headstand is one of the most popular, and easily accessible, inversions... it is often one the scariest and is often taught incorrectly. I did this pose wrong for years at the beginning of my yoga journey, never progressing and causing a lot of problems in my neck.
As usual, I will guide you from the most beginner friendly variations all the way to the full pose. I will also show you strengthening drills you can do to help progress the pose. There is always something for every level! Remember.. this breakdown will NOT go into tripod or full headstand.
YOU WILL NEED:
- a wall
- a yoga blanket
CAUTION: Neck injuries. Ego (if you're new to this pose, don't expect to get it right away).
